1st day - YEREVAN
Arrival in Yerevan, transfer to the hotel Villa Delenda. Time at leisure. Lunch in Villa Delenda. A walk in the city centre : presidential palace, Science Academy, Parliament, Cascade, Opera Theatre, etc ..Accommodation in Villa Delenda.
2nd day - YEREVAN
City tour: Erebuni Fortress and Museum with the antique royal palace from 782 B.C. - Republic Square, the History Museum - Lunch-picnic - Matenadaran Museum with more than 17.000 antique manuscripts , Tsitsernakaberd: museum and monument to the victims of the genocide in 1915. Accommodation in Villa Delenda.
3rd day - ECHMIADZIN - SARDARAPAT- ZVARTNOTS
Day trip to Echmiadzin, ex-capital of Armenia (180-340 d.C.), Holy See, the most sacred place for all the Armenians - Visit to the churches S. Gayane and S. Hripsmeh of VIIcen. - Lunch in Echmiadzin - After visit to ethnografic museum of Sardarapat. - Visit to the cathedral of Zvartnots. Accommodation in Villa Delenda.
4st day - TALIN\MASTARA - HARICHAVANK - MARMASHEN- GYUMRI
Visit to the north-west to the country. On the way to Gyumri, visit to the architectural complex and to medieval church of Harichavank (XII- XIII cen.) - Visit to the Monastery of Mastara - Visit to Gyumri, the second city of Armenia - Lunch in Gyumri - Visit to the beautiful Monastry of Marmashen (X -XIII cent.), belonging to the Regional School of Architecture of Ani, situated on the bank of the river Akhuryan. Return to Yerevan. Dinner in Yerevan. Accommodation in Villa Delenda.
5th day - ALAVERDI-DILIJAN
Visit to Alaverdi, important industrial centre of Armenia. Visit to splendid basilic of Odzun (V-VI cent.) and to the monasteries Sanahin and Haghpat considered jewels of Armenian medieval architecture (XII - XIII cent..) UNESCO World heritage. Later visit to Dilijan, called "Armenian Switzeland" - Lunch in Dilijan- Visit to the religious complex of Haghartsin and Monastry of Goshavank. Return to Yerevan. Accommodation in Villa Delenda .
6th day - YEREAN - TSAGHKADZOR - LAKE SEVAN - NORADUZ- GORIS
Visit to Tsakgkadzor - Monastery of Kecharis of 13 cen. -Excursion in the aera of Lake Sevan, "emerald" of Armenia situated at 2000m above see level.- Lunch in Sevan - Visit to Noraduz, the field of khachkars (antique stone-crosses). - Continue by Selim pass to visit Carvansarray, 1332, antique Silk Road. Visit to the city Sisian and Karahundj astrologic observatory, V millennium B.C. Arrival to the city of Goris. Dinner in Goris. Accommodation at the hotel Mirhav in Goris.
7th day - GORIS- TATEV- NORAVANK - KOR VIRAP - YEREVAN
The day will be dedicated to visit the famous Monastry and the University of Tatev, IX- XIII cent., one of the most important cultural centres of Middle Ages, in Armenia. At noon departure from Goris to Yerevan and excursion in the region of Vayots Dzor. Visit to the Monastry of Noravank with its extraordinary architecture of santuary of XII century, in a beautiful position in the mountain. Lunch in Noravank. Later visit to Khor Virap and fortress-monastry with a prison where S. Gregory Illuminator was kept ; from here a splendid view of Ararat Mountain (now in the Turkish territory). Return to Yerevan. Accommodation in Villa Delenda.
8th day - YEREVAN-ASHTARAK-SAGHMOSAVANK-AMBERD - YEREVAN
Visit to Ashtarak city - Visit to the churches Karmravor and Tsiranavor (VII cen.) - Later visit to the Monastries Mughni and Saghmosavank - Lunch at Ashtarak - Later visit to the Amberd fortress 2 300m. High from the see level, which was destroyed during the Tamerlan invasions in XIVcen. Return to Yerevan. Accommodation in Yerevan.
9th day - GARNI and GEGHARD
Visit to Parajanov Museum - Visit to the hellenistic temple of Garni and Monastry of Geghard (XII- XIIIcent.). - Traditional lunch in Garni and preparation of armenian typical bread "lavash" - Evening: meeting in Villa Delenda with the students of foreign languages. Dinner in Villa Delenda on the base of Armenian traditional food. Accommodation in Villa Delenda.
